As an American with a long history with India (my mother was born there and I went to high school there) I believed I would find my soulmate from India. I had actually stopped looking on Shaadi (as candidates in my age group are few) but after quite some time I received an request from an interesting woman named Sharayu. Our correspondence was comfortable and open and led to phone calls and video chatting. Within a few months I decided it was time to meet in person. She was everything I had expected and more and one day after arriving in India I proposed to Sharayu on 25 October. We had our engagement function on 5 November with our wedding date is set for 14 February. The woman of my dreams came late in my life but we both realize the best things are worth waiting for.
