Hi Shaadi.com team and fellow members,
Me and my wife are very greatfull to shaadi.com team, as they helped us in finding one another.
I was in the United Kingdom and she was in India when I first came across her profile in March 2006. I found her profile very interesting, but she didn't have her Photo on it, so I sent her a photo request. To my surprise, a couple of days later I received her interest in the place of her photos. Well I accepted it out of curiosity to find out who this person is and sent my mobile number to her through shaadi.com. Like wise she sent me her home number but no photo yet. Next day I ringed her home, around 7am IST. And she didn?t know what to say, but some how she managed to say, ?Can I call you later today?. Later that day she ringed me from a public phone box and we spoke for more than an hour. It was then I found out that she did not expect my call. She asked me not to ring her home because, her parents will not accept me. But, we had started to like each other and our telephone communication got stronger and stronger day by day. Yes, that to me without seeing her photo!! Few days later she sent me her photos as well as gave me her mobile number and we spoke almost everyday. On 11th April 2006, I asked her to marry me and she said, ?Yes?. Since then it has been a roller-coaster ride for both of us because we both come from different castes.
I came down to India on 5th Jan 2007 and meet her in Bangalore Airport, it was such a happy?. moment in our life?. I don?t have words?. Then I went to my parents place and she went back to her place. It was very hard to go different directions but it was important, so that I can spend some time with my parents. We wanted to get married as soon as possible, but like I said, time was rough on us. She lost her grandmother and things got delayed. Mean while I was trying to convince my parents but they did not agree.
We happily got married on the 11th April 2007 in the city of Bangalore without both our parent?s blessings.
Thank you, Shaadi.com keep up the good work.
